a 2nd ITA email

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Between an LOI, an update letter and an ITA message, the latter is the least important post-application communication and potentially frivolous. If I were on the adcom of said school, I'd see a second ITA either as a desperate plea for attention or an attempt to snag an interview at a convenient time. I don't know which rationale is better but neither is good.

If you really care that much about the school, you'd be willing to drop the cash on another plane ticket if they invite you later.
