First off with the laminated sheets is the eraser attacked to the marker, or is it seperate? Is the marker fine pointed, or just a blunt crappy marker? And do you get one sheet or multiple?

Does the laminated sheet make r.c. alot harder?

Is mass spec, and IR common on the dat in detail, or would i be smarter to just know the general facts?

Is sulfuric acid the only polyprotic acid that will affect calculations? Ie equivlance point and dissociation???

and finally, how similar were your guys math and rc scores on achiever to your real dat rc and math scores.

I know I asked a ton of questions haha, thats why i made my own thread. Thanks a ton guys. - Dave

Some answers:

A) At my center (Prometric in NYC at 42 and 3rd), the eraser was a small block, like a chalkboard eraser (so it is un-attached to the marker.) My 2 markers were medium point, I didn't have a problem at all with them. I got 2 laminated sheets and only needed to use 1.

B) Laminated sheets didn't make RC any harder for me, you can erase whenever you want which is helpful.

C) I would say spend time on the general facts of mass spec and IR. nothing too crazy.

D) not sure about affecting calculations, I didn't see anything too tricky so don't worry.

E) My math score was pretty similar to the real thing, and my RC score was MUCH lower on the DAT than on practice tests. I never scored below 24 on TopScore and Kaplan, and ended up with a 19 🙁 Also, I thought I got EVERY single one correct- I still don't know what I got wrong... frustrating! I may have just been burnt out from the sciences though so I'm sure other people have different experiences.

Good luck!
