Hello all, i am taking the DAT next week and have a couple questions about the format for those have recently taken it. I have heard a couple times that for the scratch paper, instead of actual paper you are just given 2 laminated sheets and a marker?? is this right?? if so is the marker at least very fine tipped like a pencil for easier writing?? also for the PAT angle ranking, are the angle lines smooth like on Crack dat pat, or are they very pixelated like on other practice tests i have taken, and what are your guys' best way to tackle the angle questions? lastly, for the reading comprehension, is it set up like achiever or topscore where you come the the passage and a new box pops up and you scroll down and read it and then go to the questions or is it different, and are the paragraphs numbered in the passage?. hopefully it's not like the kaplan practice test on the cd which it wayyy to hard to scroll evenly. oh, and is it also true that more recently the questions have kind of switched from know it or you don't, to ones that you have to think about more?? Thank you all in advance!

1. 2 laminated sheets and a 2 fine tipped markers. I have heard a few people on here say they got more medium tipped markers, but mine was fine tipped. I also asked for new markers during my break in case they were to run out.

2. I took it in July, but I believe the angles were smooth lines. I didn't seem to be bothered at all by them. As far as strategy, practice practice practice.

3. RC - You are first given the passage. Then when you click to go to the first question, the question is listed at the bottom of the window and the passage is up above with it's own scroll bar so you can have both the question in view and the passage. Does that make sense? Anyone who has taken it more recently may be able to describe that better.

4. I have no idea if the questions have changed, I bet someone will reply to you on that.

Good Luck!

Hello, my name is Oleg.
I live in Brooklyn,NY and very interested in finding study partner or partners who may be also interested in studying together for the DAT! I have knowledge on some topics more than on the others, but currently study on my own from the DAT Test Prep Books. As we all know, "two heads better then one" and " the more, the marrier". I figured studying with someone else will make the time go by more interesting and fun at the same time. Please let me know if you are interested or know someone who may be interested.

Thank you very much, in advance!
Sincerely, Oleg
