i'm asking for your opinion on my chance of being

accepted to NYUCD.

GPA:2.63
Science GPA:3.34

DAT
AA-20
SA-20
PAT-18

I applied early (just received a letter saying
they started on my application on aug 17)

did a little shadowing (30hrs),
did some volunteer work,
have no research experience.

please, straight up answers,

and any suggestion to make my file more appealing?

thanks

In all honesty your chances are very slim. You should probably consider a Master's degree if you are serious about dentistry.

your dat is very good. where else have you applied? be prepared to explain why your gpa is so low. sure, there's a chance. you have the ability as shown by those dat scores but are you disciplined enough, if so, better be ready to demonstrate. campaign for yourself send letters to those schools you are interested in, check status of your application w/them directly by e mail and phone and you better have a really good explanation for those grades. good luck to you.

knowing NYU, you have pretty good chance.
even though your GPA is low, your science GPA and DAT score is descent.
however, i wouldn't go there if you get accepted somewhere else.
