I'm taking it on Saturday and had a few general questions. Any and all answers are appreciated!

1) For the PAT portion, are all the same types of questions grouped together? Ex: 15 questions of angle ranking, followed by 15 questions of cube counting, followed by 15 questions of TFE ,etc.

2) If the answer to number 1 is yes, are the questions in the same order as CDP? CDP order is keyhole, TFE, angle ranking, hole punching, cube counting, pattern folding.

3) I have read that some people experience a delay when using the calculator on the QR section. As in a delay between the moment you hit a key and the moment the corresponding action occurs. (So if I were to type in "2+2" and hit the "=" sign, there would be a delay before "4" popped up). Did you experience this delay? If so, how long was it? (Please be honest without exaggeration).

I apologize if these questions appear random. With the test being so close, I am trying to fine-tune my strategy and answers to these questions would help greatly. Thanks all!

1. YES
2. YES
3. There is a delay is like you said but even worse. There would be a delay after you hit 2 and another after you hit + and another after you hit 2 and another after you hit = so basically after every button you click. Hope that helps.

1. yes
2. yes
3. I didn't notice a delay during my QR. Probably depends on your testing center and how busy they are. Don't sweat the small stuff: you've prepared, you're ready, now do your best!

Another question:

I have read that you need to know a bunch of conversions for the QR section. However, Destroyer and CDM give you the conversions for any problem you may need them on. I'm assuming they don't do this for you on the actual DAT?

I did not have any of those questions but every test is different. Also I did not experience any delays with the calculator. Good luck.

The calculator by far was like the most annoying part of the whole test.. like if i was pressing 2 + 2 the plus sign (or whatever the next key was) wouldn't even register unless i waited a sec between keystrokes. If you are capable of mental math i would suggest using it the most you can because it seems like they are trying to make a point by making the calculator suck :d if only i wasn't so dependent 🙄
