I'm taking 8 credits this summer. At the end of the summer i will have 41 credits left to complete. Odds are that i'll only be allowed to take 17 credits max a semester. It is my understanding that if i dont have my degree by the end of the spring semester i will not be able to apply in the fall. What are my options?

Research programs that do not require a bachelors degree, you could apply to those as long as you have completed most of your pre-reqs required for that program.

I know it's not ideal, however, I have taken 21 credit hours in semester. It your dean will approve the extra hours, do it! You save a lot of tuition money that way. You also could complete your 41 hours in 2 semesters. I believe the biggest benefit to this is that you feel very prepared for the amount of material, study time, and stress encountered in grad school.
Best of luck.
Peace and God bless
