I'm doing some research and I need a good self-study book that will teach me pretty much everything about medical research statistics (hopefully in a really dumbed down way). My one undergrad course did a very poor job and I need to understand all this ANOVA and t-test stuff to a point where I feel confident I can explain my research findings.

Thanks!

we use Epidemiology, Biostatistics, and Preventive Medicine. I think it is fairly good and widely used, but it is the only biostat book I've seen, so I can't really recommend it. I just know it is pretty easy to understand, and I see lots of people with it.
