I was talking with the Pre-Med advisor in the Psychology department of my university about what I was thinking, and she said that it sounded like a good idea (I would talk with my advisor, but he knows nothing about Pre-Medicine).
I don't know how strong I am in science. The only science classes I have taken were those in high school (of which were usually taught by teachers who didn't teach). This leads me to be extremely skeptical about myself being a pre-med student along with my major (psych).
Instead of going straight into the curriculum and possible receiving poor grades, I am only scheduled for CH111 ("College Chemistry") and M140 ("Precalculus with Trigonometry"). Both of these are the most basic classes and cover most of the giant web of pre-requisites that more advanced courses like Organic Chem, Anatomy & Physiology, as well as Calc have.
What this allows me to do is get my feet wet (even if just by a little) to see if I do in-fact have some sort of grip on science and math.
I'm just wondering what you guys think about this basic plan of mine (I like to get multiple opinions on things).
