I noticed there's no "reset" feature in USMLE Rx (bc I want to do a second-pass on the QBank), so I emailed them about it and they said they're "unable" to do that with their system. I find that interesting, particularly since I had had two faulty, zero-question tests pop up a while ago, and they had emailed me saying they'd remove those from my account, so obviously they can regulate whatever they want.

But I mean...wow. People do two passes of UWorld and Kaplan, don't they?

Has anyone encountered this problem before with Rx, or does no one do Rx twice?

Seems kind of ridiculous because it's obvious that they feel it's a financial issue for them, where they must think people reset so that others, who haven't paid, can use the accounts. Otherwise, it wouldn't be a problem.

Sorry to rant, but I was really hoping to do a fresh second-pass of Rx. This drastically reduces the reliability of this QBank in my mind. Going through the 3000 Qs again where I can already see the answers is only about half-helpful.

Yes - multiple emails to USMLERx requesting the ability to reset my account or even having remining 30 days credit applied to a new account, to let me do a 'fresh' run through. They were not very helpful.

I opted to only do the medium and hard questions; did you find value in doing the asy questions as well ?

Am I understanding this correctly, both Kaplan and Usmlerx do not allow you attempt questions more than once?

What is resetting? Eliminating your previous answers or not even being able to see the question again?

I've heard people say they ran through Kaplan a second time, what does that mean? Does this mean they just read the questions again but have to see the correct answer?

I'm looking at picking up one of these qbanks soon...

go with kaplan q bank. you can go through the kaplan questions a second time if you mark all the questions as you go along. there is an option to redo mark questions, so after you do them you can unmark them.

I just thought I should point out that, after having exchanged a few emails with USMLE Rx support, they have agreed to "reset" my account.

This was only because 1) I had purchased the "till you pass" package, and 2) I was assertive with them regarding how UWorld lets people do second passes and maybe that's why people claim it's the best QBank .

They said they'll only allow the reset this one time, but they're actually switching me to a new account entirely, and merely transferring my remaining time-credit over, rather than actually clearing my current one. So perhaps there's a degree of truth to the fact that they said they couldn't reset things on my old account.

Dont mind me asking but did you really find the Rx qbank that good to donate your valuable time to a 2nd pass? Or have you already done the Uworld qbank twice and are just focusing on other qbanks now.

I found the entire QBank extremely helpful.

There was actually someone who had written on the scores thread a couple months ago saying that the "hard" questions on his exam were like UWorld's but that his "easy" questions were like USMLE Rx's. Given that everyone's exam is different, that probably doesn't mean too much, but just thought I'd throw that in there to help answer your question.

I found Rx to be fantastic. No, I have not done UWorld yet; I'm saving it for closer to my exam.

The order I'm going for so far, in terms of question resources only (i.e. not taking into account review of Microcards/BRS/HY resources) is University of Utah Webpath, Robbin's Review of Path Qs, USMLE Rx, FA Q&A, Kaplan QBook, GT QBank, Kaplan QBank, UWorld. The idea is to then throw NBME exams randomly into the mix.

I had done the former two above resources during MS2. Right now, I'm almost done with the GT QBank Qs (I'm not doing their flashcards beyond just a few subject areas, just their QBank Qs). I hope to finish UWorld just before 2-months-out. I'll blitz back through FA Q&A and Kaplan QBook, each for the second time, over a 2-3-day period at that point, only redoing questions I had previously marked or had gotten wrong.

Then, between 4- and 8-weeks-out, I'll use those five weeks going back through the entirety of Rx, GT, Kaplan and UWorld questions, in that order, all for the second time, because the reinforcement is unequivocally essential. This time, I'll shoot for ~3-350 Qs/day, only reviewing those I'm not 1000% sure about or got wrong. I figure that five-week period will require 12+ hr days. Right now, I'm only going through questions much slower than that, making sure to annotate into FA and to read the explanations well.

The final three weeks will probably be near pure memorization of the annotated FA with a sprinkle of NBMEs, and then finishing on USMLE CD (free-150) one-day-out.

Hope that helps,
