Are there any out of state students invited for interview for the following schools?

-Pitts
-Maryland

I have been under review for nearly a month with no update at all.

Was wondering if that was the case for other students as well.

I interviewed at Maryland on Tuesday and there were maybe 10 out of staters. FYI, my AADSAS didn't even have Maryland listed until I got the interview email at which time it changed to "Invited for Interview". Hope this helps.

I from NY and havent heard anything from Pitt but I want to, and I interviewed at Maryland Wed and I only remember 1 MD resident out of ~15 people.

Role play with someone. That's the most practical way of getting ready for the interview.

I was wondering about the same thing. I have yet to hear back from Maryland or any of the New York schools. I'm from CA btw. Since I haven't received a rejection from any of the east coast schools, I was hoping they were saving us for post-December interview 🙁

Hey, I'm OOS at Maryland and I got an interview there.
App received email: 7/23/10
Secondary app request email: 9/10/10

Sent in the secondary 9/14/10
Invitation to interview: 9/14/10

If you get a secondary it seems you will be given an interview at Maryland.

Had an interview at UPitt on 9/28.
My app was mailed on 8/6. 🙂

Pitt interviews rather late, so don't stress on that end. Pitt does roughly equal acceptances from before and after December, so if you interview in the middle of February, you've got roughly the same chance as someone who interviews in September. Also, Pitt does not give preference to in-state status.

I'm OOS. Got an email today for an interview at Pitt. I was starting to get depressed about not hearing from any schools too.
