So I got home this evening after school, checking my email as usuall, then I noticed that I received a new SDN PM titled "Grow Up". So I hurried and came to the SDN web site to see what all the fuss is about and I found this:

grow up.

I am not a native english speaker. So at the end of this message you may attribute my grammatical and spelling errors to the fact that english is not my first language.

I appreciate constructive criticism. Your advice though was on the international dental forum thread discussing NDB part 1 results. This forum is filled with individuals who do not use english on a daily basis, many of them think in their native language and then translate their thoughts into english. You may not be able to appreciate how difficult that can be. I dont think these people need to be sarcastically ticked off by you. If you intend to help, you need to be a little less arrogant.Your suggestions started off as constructive but ended up as childish. You sounded extremely petulant when you said,I qoute , "Listen, I choose to correct and help people as I see fit. If you take an offense by it, then I can't help that. I never called anyone an idiot or stupid or anything so it's not like that I was rude."

Now you dont have to abuse someone in order to be rude, you of all people should realise that.Your behaviour and remarks were uncalled for and shameful. You sound like an arrogant self absorbed closeminded individual and your remarks reek of ignorance and lack of exposure to a multicultural world where language is not a barrier, but a tool for communication. We dont use it to place ourselves on pedestals above others, or to belittle people.

Since you enjoy giving unsolicited advise to one and all, i think you can be gracious and accept a few words of wisdom from me,
"Listen, I choose to correct and help people as I see fit. If you take an offense by it, then I can't help that. I never called anyone an idiot or stupid or anything so it's not like that I was rude....

Wow, I got my laugh for the day!

Erm, Andy...do you really think holding someone up for public ridicule is the best way to promote discussion? I can think of about 100 other ways to make your point to him/her, without making SDN an instrument of personal attack.

I thought I share this wonderful PM with you all. I'm not trying to attack on anyone. I just think it's quite humerous when you try to help someone out and you end up being called the "bad guy". Hey, whatever right? I don't have time to deal with this kind of crap, gotta go work out and study Pharm for Friday.

I'm a lova, not a fighta!
