I know some of you are waiting for a gel to finish running or a spin to finish and that you've taken the time to browse studentdoctor.net instead of updating your notebook or quickly reading an article that your advisor has given you. I'm here to further promote your procrastination efforts (and mine), check out www.phdcomics.com/comics/ . It's really funny stuff that us graduate students can definitely relate to.

I must concurr. After several posting of this comic on the various doors of the offices in my lab, I checked the website out a few years ago. It is hiliarious. I think we can all relate to thie comic. It is almost scary. :scared:  Enjoy.

Great post Chouster.

I actually went to the Piled Higher and Deeper show they had on central campus today. Jorge Cham, the comic strip's Creator, talked about the trials and tribulations of graduate school. If he ever comes to visit your campus (which you can check on the website) go see him, cuz it's very entertaining to hear a man lecture about procrastination for an hour.

All jokes aside, MAN I'm glad to have gotten into my school's MSTP! Everyday I am thankful for the opportunity, and even though I'm going to grumble and bitch about this and that experiment not working, in the long run I'm 95% confident that this was the right decision versus just going straight PhD. That is, if I ever get up out this joint...

I just spent the morning reading all those, and....it changed my life. I'm emailing that to everyone I know. Thanks.

Yeah, I discovered that comic last week and spent way more time reading it than just one gel would provide. This has got to stop. I'm presenting next month, so I shoudl probably analyze my data with a little more urgency, but I just can't work up the motivation. I think I'm mentally already in Chicago.
