For those of you who have taken DAT recently, or awhile ago, does this chart from Kaplan accurately estimate the percentage of the biology topics?

I'm sure that is a basis, or maybe an average, but that is not how my DAT was. All of those concepts were on my DAT, but I'm not sure what the exact frequency was. Just know the material and you should be fine.

Wasn't accurate for mine. I'm pretty sure this is based on a single 2009 test or a rough average of the 2009 tests based on the 2009 DAT User Manual. It's not actually reflective of every version of the test.

I am a fan of Kaplan and absolutely think they build a great base, although I don't agree with the chart. And how can I know? I have talked to thousands of students over the years and the versions vary greatly. IMO there is no way to predict what percentage of certain topics you will be presented. That is why it is VERY important to know them all. I spoke with a student a few days ago who was convinced his test would have tons of Physiology and Anatomy so he focused on those topics mainly and he told me he did not see 1 problem. His version had more plants. He received a 19 in Bio, not horrible but had he put in a little more effort and completed ALL the work in the Destroyer, perhaps that number would have been higher. His other scores and GPA were more than enough and he will get interviews in the Fall. BTW, he did receive a 28 in QR and said he had about 5 of the new QC type problems, very easy he said, and a lot of probability and stats and also geometry and Trig, but again just the luck of the draw...

Just my 2 cents backed by years of experience

Nancy
