Hello all,

I was just wondering how you go about asking for/writing a letter of recommendation if you are planning on applying to 2 different types of schools (ie: DO and MD or DO and podiatry). Would the writer have to write 2 different ones, one for each type of school, or would they be able to write one that pertains to both?

I used the same DO letter for both MD and DO. I just let my letter-writer know I was using it for both.

I wouldn't use a general physician letter for podiatry school. In that case, the letter should be more on point on why you want to be a podiatric physician and not just a physician.
