A Quick Note About Northwestern's Secondary

I looked at the due dates for the secondary and the letters of rec and there was no way i would be able to make the LOR date. i emailed them and here's what i got, just in case you're in the same spot i was in:

Dear *R_C_*

We do grant deadline extensions for the letters of recommendation only.
While we will extend the deadline for your letters of recommendation
until September 1, 2004, we highly recommend you submit all of your
letters as soon as possible. Our Committee on Admissions cannot review
your application file until we receive all of your letters. Our quick
receipt of your letters means your file should receive a prompt review.

I got the exact same email from them (except with a different date). For those who were worried about getting a harsh email back from them, I think they're just using a template.
