Who thought they failed the MPJE for sure (guessed on more than 50% of the questions) but didn't?
I took it yesterday and I thought it was dreadful...🙁
Anyone?

I take it tomorrow but yeah I have heard friends say they feel like they had to guess on 2/3 of the test and still passed. OF course they said you could always eliminate 2 or more answer choices because they were obvioulsy wrong.

I felt terrible when I left the MPJE on Saturday morning....almost nothing that I thought was important to study was on the test.

So True, you have to base it on pure instinct and common sense. If you have been working in a pharmacy - then answer the questions as though they would come up in the pharmacy you are working at. Most questions are based on the knowledge you have of the law - so - your first guess is probably going to be correct and you will do ok. Don't think too long and hard - remember that if the question seems really ridiculous - then it probably is and will be one of the ones thrown out-

Study your states board newsletters and if you have the board minute meetings - look at those to get current events and facts. GOOD LUCK ALL !

Just remember, even if you assume that a 75 is literally 75% (which it is not), that means the "for sure" passing score of 75% is 45 out of 60 real questions. Factoring in the experimental test questions, a passing score could feel like a 50% (45 out of 90). Since it's weighted with some unknown equation, it's probably lower than 50%.

I took the mpje today. I studied for 4 solid days (10+ hrs/day) and I still think I did terrible. I literally felt like I had to guess on 50+ questions. It's just a terrible test overall.... like I could recite the law word for word that they were testing me on sometimes but I still wouldn't be able to find the "best answer" based on their vaguely worded questions and answer choices.

According to R&H, p. 3:

" As of February 1,2010 the MPJE examination will consist of 90 multiple-choice questions of which 75 will contribute to your score. The remainig 15 are intermingeled throughout the exam and are "pretest questions" that do not count toward your score...."

Here's hoping that more questions 🙂 will help the score along!

Do MDs and other professions have to take a test like this when transferring from state to state? Not only is it expensive for us to transfer a license, but the humiliation of taking the MPJE each time....

Guess I'm not going to get a passing grade today for spelling...correction for the word remaining and intermingled for the above post...

oh **** 15 as oppose to 30? now i am worried more :-(
how long does it take to get the results? how can i find out?

I passed with an 84!!

Do you have any insight of what to expect? Im taking mine tomorrow

I mean it varies by state so much I'm sure, but I will say it really threw me off how they never specify whether they are referring to state or federal law. I mean I knew the stricter one applied but it makes things confusing sometimes when it sounds like they're testing you on a federal law and you know the state law is different. It's such a random test honestly I can't really give you any better insight.

Oh well...im hoping for a similar score

Congrats! I'm sure you didn't take it in Florida....we have to wait days to find out!

I took the MPJE on the 18th, I studied a LOT for it and thought it was awful. Anyway, I can't find out until 21 days after I take my NAPLEX which is July 1. So, I will find out if I passed a full month after I took it!

I shouldn't complain then. I think it's funny how people assume because you thought it was difficult that you didn't study enough! It's just ridiculous that for a test that is graded electronically the instant you press "submit', that some states make you wait so long to find out!
