Somebody, help me out. I just checked my status on the nw website and realized that my supplemental app is due in a few days, and I had not received anything (email or mail) from these people about this before today! This means that I have to mail off my app by saturday, so I'm in a rush to get this done.

On the 2nd question...

In what ways does FSM's "organ-based" approach suit your learning style?

What does the "organ-based" approach referring to? How did y'all interpret it? I spent about 30 min browsing through their website, but they don't really mention anything "organ-based." I mean, is it simply referring to the fact that the students learn about "organs" during the first two years at med school? But don't all med schools do that?

Man, I'm confused... someone, give me a hand here...

I'm pretty sure organ-based means you learn about each of the organ systems one by one (endocrine, respitory, circulatory, etc.) using a bit of each of the sciences (molecular biology, physiology) versus having the basic science concepts taught separately in the traditional style and then applying them to the systems later.

Its on the website somewhere I believe, just keep looking. When I wrote my essay, I had the website open, since I know nothing about Northwestern's programs.

For the first question, you should call the admissions office @ 312-503-8206 and find out what's going on.

I also could not find any information on the organ-based approach on Northwestern's Website, so I did searches on different engines and eventually got some idea of how it differs from the traditional approach. I really BS'ed it a lot though, and I think most applicants did the same.
