Hey Guys,

I will be taking the DAT on July 20th. I have never been good at standardized test, but I have done well in the classroom. I have an Overall GPA of 3.73 and a Science GPA of 3.91. I would be so stoked if I could get a 20 on the DAT, but I think a 19 might be more realistic for me. With my GPA as high as it is and say a 19 on the DAT, do you all think I will have a shot at the Texas schools, I am a Texas resident by the way.

If you do well on your DAT, you will have a good shot at least getting an interview. I would apply to non-texas schools as well though just because admissions can be a crapshoot and you never know how much you may like a particular OOS school.

You'd be surprised how well you can do on standardized tests if you study properly and understand the material. Just study hard, do well, and then you can get into TX schools.
