Sadly, I recently withdrew my position in AZCOM class of 2009. At least that would open a spot for someone who is on the waitlist.

I have already paid the $1000 deposit to AZCOM in order to secure my seat. In the matriculation agreement form, it states that I can only request $100 back after I paid the entire deposit if I decide to withdraw myself from the school. Ouch! I was wondering if there is any case that I can petition to get more than the amount back, so I included this message in the request for a refund.

I just got the check recently from AZCOM, but they did not respond anything about my request to petition to get more than $100 back. Should I write to them again? Or, am I just wasting my time?

Be glad you got the 100 back. There is a risk with securing a spot at a school that isn't your top choice.

Yeah, I would be happy with the $100 because I think most of the private DO schools will not refund anything. I paid $2000 for KCOM and I am not getting anything back.

Hey now..be nice 😛 You'll always be friends with the handful of us at KCOM!

I agree, you got 10% of your $1000 deposit back ... you shouldn't be complaining. I didn't get any back from my $2000 deposit at Touro.

I agree that you prob wont even get a reply to a request for more than the 100$ back-which is generous in comparison- but it wouldn't hurt to tell some sob story about your specific situatuion and why you had to withdraw from their school. if you can convice the admin commitee that you are a real person and need the $ for a legit reason you may have a chance- it is prob a mute point but it is 900$ and you only have your effort to lose.

From a school that raises tuition on its LOYAL (snicker) students by 7% every year.....good luck. Probably easier to sell day old sno-cones in hell than to get any money from those tightwad bastards.

Oh, I am not knocking the school, just stating the facts 😉. You got to admit though, that is one tough policy but understandable. Hopefully, they will give the next student a break or it becomes a scholarship of some sort 😉.

The "Assistant" Scholarship. Started for the Class of 2006 at KCOM. 😀

Ha! Now wouldn't that be funny 😀!

Better than the shady non-refundable $2,000 within 2 weeks deposit for TUCOM.
