Hi everyone,

I have recently been admitted to three PT programs and I am stuck between which two programs to choose from: A.T. Still University and Touro University Nevada (I have eliminated Touro College (NY) already)

Both programs are almost identical in price an climate and fairly similar in location.

I got a tour of A.T. Still when I went for my interview and I enjoyed the campus and the surrounding communities; I have not visited Touro University Nevada yet so if anyone has, please give me feedback as to what you thought of the program and its facilities. Being about 10-15 minites from Vegas is definitely a draw for me though, no sense in hiding that.

A.T. Still is fully accredited while Touro University Nevada expects to be fully accredited by April 2012, so accreditation should not be an issue either.

Anything else I should be looking at? If any of you have any feedback you can give for either program that would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

Cost of living (COL) should be about the same if you have to live off campus - unless one provides you the opportuity to live at home w/ parents or SO. 3 offers-- great for you!! do some research on rents or buying homes in the area (Henderson not Vegas) both are pretty depressed areas at this time and have been gravely effected by the economy. Which makes COL lower than other places like CA or NY, etc. Good Luck

Yes thank you, but I wanted to more about the programs respectively. The cost is almost a wash to me; they both pretty much charge the same tuition and living expenses should be similar as well.

Any current or prospective A.T. Still and Touro Nevada students please chime in.

I have applied to both.....working on 2ndary and AU pending...Look at the curriculum, instructor Bios, research vs clinicals. Personally I am not that interested in the research end. You may have done this already. I am interested in working w/ young disabled persons, aquatic therapy....so one of my questions is related to how that is approached in the curriculum/electives/clinics/ etc. I am intersted in seeing what responses you get from current students. Touro has been a hard one to find info on since they have not grad. a class yet.
I would like to tour TUN during my winter break. They apparently don't do interviews. I think the feeling you get on a campus is important.......AT seems very student supportive-impression from being there and speaking w/ various depts and info on their web site.
Any rate........good luck I am sure you will make a decision that is best for you. Mesa and AZ is great.......I live in Glendale, AZ.
