I am having trouble understanding this:
Freshwater fish respond to their osmotic environment by:
Freshwater means that their is very little salt and that the environment is hypotonic to the fish. In order to make up the difference, a freshwater fish would drink lots of water in order to balance the gradients. I understand hypo and hyper tonic stuff but the example is screwing me up.
