A video analogy to help newbies understand the selection process

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Great video, I'll be sure to put that I have a large air sac on my application.

I'm going to do all that, and stamp my feet.

The analogy is that the motivation for selection is reasonable (best doctors/strongest offspring), and some selection factors make sense (GPA/being a big tough chicken). But in the end, all it comes down to are the showy, glamourous aspects of your application (ECs, interview, LoRs/big orange air sacks, stamping feet, booming noises).
