So I'll be quick to the point...

On the AADSAS when it asks if your been suspended, put on probation or kicked out of any college.. what should I do?

I was suspended at a college that I attended for a year due to a stupid prank. Since I am applying to dental schools through another college, I know the AADSAS couldn't see any problem because there is nothing on the official transcript (from the school I have the record with). Also, if any of the dental schools ask for a waiver to see this school record, my current schools record is clean. This school has also told me they might clear my record and regardless they usually do after 5 years. What does anyone think? thanks!

if you end up getting accepted...i know most of the schools ask for a disciplinary background check from ALL the schools you attended during your undergraduate career.
and if you exclude it from your aadsas and they find out about it...eek! could create a situationnn....
just be honest and say it was an immature prank and explain all you've learned from it - you were young immature, susceptible to peer pressure, blah blah etc. and you've grown as a person (im assuming this was at least 3 years ago?)

Ah, I wasn't aware of that. I think I will pursue getting my record destroyed and if not, then I will just be honest. I really didn't think they contacted each school for a background check.

yes this is beyond 3 yrs

suspended for a year?! What did you do? I know people that completely cheat on an exam only get like a semester or one failing grade.

I'm sorry it was only for 1 semester and it was a prank... They definitely overreacted

okay one semester is not that big of a deal. If it wasn't cheating or anything ''morally" wrong, you should be fine. If you were just being a goofball, it's whatever. I'm sure they remember being 18 and in college. But cheating and all that is pretty unacceptable no matter how old you are. Definitely fess up to it though, it's not going to ruin you.

Also, do the secondaries ask if there are pending charges against you? I have a negligent driving charge against me that is pending for 3 years...

I know some secondaries say to only say yes to misdemeanors that are non-traffic related...

a group of us sent a fake email out to the class :/ ...

immature, yes

For you to be suspended for a year, that must have been some email. Death threat? Bomb scare? 😕

The OP said that they were only suspended for a semester (in one of the replies). I am guessing they said the exam was moved or something. How in the world would you think that you would get away with this? lol If it was a bomb scare/death threat..we would be talking about MAJOR expulsion and even arrests. I doubt it was anything morally corrupt...probably just something stupid/immature like the OP said.

I really would like to know just for kicks...but my guesses are: OP said that the exam was cancelled, OP said that the school was closed, OP made fun or mocked the professor. what was it?!
