Do these equal in importance to dental schools? It just seems to me that schools would weigh the AA higher than the PA. I am just stressing out, I took the DAT this past saturday and made 18AA and 24PA. Thanks for any input

AA >>>>>>>>> PA

would you rather have 24AA 18PA or 18AA 24PA?
I would 24AA in a heartbeat

The question is not what would I rather have because my scores are what they are. If schools hold the AA that much higher over the PA, why do they not just combine everything. Not trying to be rude and thanks for the input

They do combine every academically related subject, that's why you have the Academic Average. however, doing well on PAT requires no academic excellence, therefore it wouldn't make sense to combine it with everything else.

To answer your first question, AA>>>>>PAT, sry, but if you have a high gpa, you can still do it.

One of my interviewers said organic chemistry (class and DAT section) and the PAT were good indicators of potential success in dental school. As people have said and doc's link shows, schools weigh sections differently. A 24 on the PAT is impressive and will be noticed.
