Aaaagh! Frustrated, need advice!

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
finally someone as neurotic as me! All kidding aside, you're just as competitive as just about anyone posting in this forum. Take a breath and realize that SDN is not indicative of all applicants. Are you deadset on NYC or are you open to the west coast? If you're open to the west coast then you could add a ton of great schools to your list....

We neurotics must stick together  NYC would be great - I love the city and I have family there - but I am up to moving ANYWHERE. (One of the reasons I did semester at sea was because I got to see 11 different countries in 100 days!!!) I am a lot less familiar with the west coast schools, though, because I was under the impression that they are harder to get into for non-residents. What schools do you recommend??

If you are applying MSTP there should be no bias for instate or out-of-state (technically). UCSF, UCSD, UCLA, University of Washington - just to name a few.... There's also Duke, Emory, Baylor, UTSW if you aren't against the south

I was going to write a longer response but I realized it was just repeating j-weezy. In any case, you're not that late, just submit your secondaries as soon as possible after they come and I don't think you'll be at any disadvantage. Your safety schools would likely be a waste of money as you are a competitive candidate. I wouldn't even pick those as safeties--rather lesser name MSTPs, but I still don't even find that necessary.
