Hey all,

Correct me if I'm wrong but as I understand there are two ways to get schools your MCAT score once the test scores are available online:

1. Have the scores released to AACOMAS and then have them forwarded to the schools through their website.

2. Release the scores to the schools directly from the MCAT website.

Is this the case? If so, is the latter the quicker option? Do you have to submit the scores to AACOMAS or can you just have the scores released directly to the schools you've applied to?

Thanks in advance.

Yep, latter is quicker I think. AACOMAS will ask you if you've taken the MCAT so you should be honest there.

Definitely have them sent through AACOMAS.:luck:

I tried to release them directly to the school, but my school, NSUCOM, was not on the list. AACOMAS was. It took a good two weeks or so for the school to get the scores. In the meantime, I printed out an official score report, scanned a copy and emailed it. Just in time for the admissions committee, seriously, like within an hour of the meeting. I got an email a few days later saying they got my scores.

Right, I just didn't know what the standard was. I assume if you send your scores directly to the schools from the MCAT website you can also send them to AACOMAS, and also let them know you've send them directly so that they don't do double the work. Right?

I just checked the MCAT site. I don't think you can send the scores to individual osteopathic schools from the MCAT website, only to AACOMAS. AACOMAS verifies the scores and then transmits to the schools you specified on its site. Not sure here though.

Sumbit your scores via ThX to AACOMAS, accomas marks them recieved, schools get scores via AACOMAS, end of story.
