Hello All,
I'm filling out my AACOMAS right now, and I have very strange situation. I brought in about 34 credits from high school (AP & IB exams) and on my transcript, it says "Credit by Exam 34.00 hours." Now, when I filled out the Course Section of AACOMAS, I clearly broke those 34.00 hours down into: 6 for English, 4 for Calc I etc. etc. That's how my school gave me credit for them, BUT it does NOT appear like that on my official transcript (we have an internal transcript also).
Is anyone else out there in a similar situation? 😕
Here's what the AACOMAS instructions say to do, "The subjects and credit hours you received for these courses must appear on your official transcript. If these do not appear on the transcript, an official letter from the registrar is required. Advanced credit appearing on the transcript without subject or course names will be classified as non-science unless official documentation is received."
When I talked to my registrar's office, they said that they don't send out letters along with the transcript. What am I do now? I can't ditch all those 34 credits cuz' some of them (like English & Math) count towards my pre-med requirements.
Has anyone tackled a similar problem? Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thank you!
