Hello,

I have a question regarding the "Colleges and Coursework" Section of the AACOMAS common app - The Instructions state that under classification for a course you should enter "Honors" for "Any course taken in an honors program"

I've been part of the Honors College at my university throughout my undergrad career. Does this mean that every course I've taken should be categorized as "Honors" even though there were surely non-honors students in many of them?

I would contact AACOMAS support for this to get the most accurate answer.

On my application and transcript it listed Honors General Chemistry 1 and thats how i wrote it. Then you had to classify whether it was Honors, P/F. Because the name had honors on the transcript they were able to verify and then they just left the classification but took honors out of name portion. So if it says Honors on your transcript then you should include that but if it does not then don't. But be sure to list that you are a part of your Honors program on your Awards section

Thanks for the swift responses. I was also inclined to do what you did RamAttack and only for the courses I took with honors. I just thought the reference in the instructions left room for interpretation so I wasn't sure. I'll call them tomorrow just in case.

You are better off using the support function and messaging them online right now. They will probs email you back first thing in the morning and you can also call. I only say this bc they are pretty rude on the phone!

Thanks mate haha that's a great tip. I would have called during my [horrible] commute to school and I'm usually angsty enough as it is!

yep, only certain classes were honors at my school (i wasn't honors because they didn't start the program until my senior year)

but i did take advanced gen chem I and II, but it wasn't strictly honors, so i didn't include it as so.
