AACOMAS application problem

Hey all! Has anyone else run into this problem before with the AACOMAS application?

It has been over two months since I submitted my AACOMAS application. And about once a week I am checking with the DO school that I am applying to to see if they have received all of my application. They have not. Also, the med school has already received a friend of mine's AACOMAS application even though he sent in his after I did. (I understand that AACOMAS is first come first serve, right?). On the AACOMAS website, it says that they have my trascript, money is paid, and everything else, and my application status is "processing". Basically, I am freaking out because this application is really late and I don't want to not get into med school because of a long application process.

Has this ever happened to anyone before? Does anyone have any idea on what is going on here? Has ACCOMAS ever lost an application before?

You might want to check this year's verification thread to get an idea of how other people are faring in the verification process. What I can tell you for sure is that it's taking a really long time for everything to get verified this year. An extra two or three week wait is not out of the norm.

Also, DO schools will not receive your primary application until it's been verified by AACOMAS. If it makes you feel better, you could call them, but I'm not sure if that would do any good. All you can do is sit and wait. In the mean time, try working on your secondary essays to pass the time.

I emailed them a couple days ago and they said they were currently processing applications submitted on 8/27 (Mine was sub on 9/1). So if you submitted days before 8/27, then call/email them.
