Aacomas open today at 10am!!!!!

That's what happens when you rush. You fail to read instructions.

Relax. They'll "undeliver" your application so you can make the changes yourself, then you resubmit it to them and they'll continue the process. However, make sure you're good this time, because this DOES delay the verification process.

So when is the earliest we should submit our primary? I already completed my draft copy and requested my transcripts and MCATs to be sent to AACOMAS. Is it a good idea to review carefully for a week and then send it out? I know the longer the application is delayed the harder it will be to get an interview and hopefully admission.

for the section that asks about family members that are md's or do's. should we put someone who is currently in med school or do they have to be a graduate? thanks

I wouldn't think it takes a week to review the application, but yes, spend some time making sure you have everything you want in there and making sure it all sounds the way you want it to, then submit. Even if you did submit a week later, a mere week will NOT have an effect on your chances in the long run. In the admissions cycle, a week is like a really long day. 😉

Sorry, but they have to already have graduated from med school. 😛 You can probably work them into your PS or a secondary response...

Does it really take 4-6 weeks for those that submit during the first few days to get verified? What is the hold up?

For me, MCAT and transcripts.

Yeah, it's true. As for the hold up...ask AACOMAS. We've been hypothesizing that AACOMAS is a single person...

I have been thinking about signing up for a July MCAT (3rd time taking it) but am unsure. Would it be wise to submit my application with the 2 they already have and not list a third "to be taken" and then if I do end up taking it, I can inform them that I took the MCAT again?

Why are you taking it again? 1) You hardly went up from the first time, do you really think you are going to go up a few more points? 2) You got a 30, so either you are applying to both DO and MD and you need higher for MD, but really they are going to see that you took it 3 times. Just my .02 😎.

That's how I would do it, yes. You shouldn't really indicate you're retaking unless you've already been registered to do so, so this would be fine if you're still unsure. However, I agree with beckhunter here; I don't see much reason behind retaking...you'd be risking the improvement you've already made.
