Does it really take 4 -6 weeks after receipt of transcripts for the application to be processed and sent to schools? Thanks

depends on when you submit. If you are submitting in, say September, then processing very well may take 6 weeks. Last year it seems folks submitting in December were taking every bit of 6 weeks. I submitted in June and it took about 5 days. I think I heard it's taking about 2 weeks right now for processing... submitting schedule I'm not too sure about.

I submitted mid July (july 13th) and my application was sent on to schools on July 21st. I already have secondaries from nearly all my schools I applied to and have submitted a couple. If you are a boarderline candidate or have a weaker application, I suggest getting it in ASAP. You dont want to have to compete with everyone that has a 3.9, 35MCAT in December when the majority of applications are in. Just my 2 cents.

Thank you all. They already got my transcripts yesterday, and i guess it's processing. Now i have to send another one because my school did not note my change of major in the transcript ouch! but the aacomas rep said it was ok all i had to do was send a new transcript.
