From what I understand, applicants can update there Spring-Fall grades sometime mid-November.

My questions is, would it be move the process along if an applicant sends out there official transcript before the update is available and then fill in the new grades/courses in AADSAS?

Thoughts?

I called AADSAS. The academic update will be available on Nov. 17 and YES, it will speed the process along if you send in your transcript early.

Why Mid-november?
Most schools's Fall courses finish in December and marks come out mid-late December... Is the applicant update even available at this time?

do we need to request for matching forms again to send along with transcripts? thanks in advance

It opens up on/after Nov. 17 and remains open until the end of the cycle. I believe you get only one submission. Hope this helps.

Yeah, print it out and send it with the transcript. I forgot where the form was and it took me a minute to find it. Here it is if you guys are finding trouble:
Go to your AADSAS page, click on My Application on the top, go to-->Academic History-->Colleges Attended. The form is the yellow link on the left.

The form explicitly states:
The transcript must meet the following requirements be to considered "official" by AADSAS.
*Registrar's seal and/or legible signature included on transcript
*Be received directly from the Registrar's office
*Transcript NOT marked "issued to the student" or "student copy"

I didn't notice this and sent an official transcript that I had from my address. Don't make the same mistake and hope this helps out.

well I'm not sure what school you guys go to but like contach said my grades don't come out til late december...

Well it seems that you will have to wait until late december...

thank you very much!

Does it matter to the dschools if we submit early or late? ... I believe an adcom member from ucsf mentioned that they would not take these fall grades into consideration.

I took summer classes this year and have my grades back so those can be added during the update. Also, I sent my summer transcript to AADSAS as soon as i received my grades and AADSAS posted under the status section that the transcript was received. I think it would speed up the process to send them in ahead of time if possible.

Hey LuckiLeigh, I am in the same situation as you. I sent in my summer grades asap, but do you know how I should go about updating my fall grades? They'll be available in late dec. It looks like only one submission is allowed,, I sorta dug my own grave by trying to speed up things haha.
