AADSAS and LOR's

My entire application is complete, except for LOR's. How long does it take for AADSAS to process them, and send them out? Does anybody have experience with this?

I actually called them this morning, and the lady said they send them out immediately, once they recieve them, is this true - or did she just lie?

i dont think anyone really knows what goes on behind their closed doors. but it only took two weeks from the time my professors mailed my LORs till the time I saw the status change on the AADSAS website.

yes, mine too, but how long does it take for AADSAS to process them once they have been recieved? They told me immediately, but i have a suspicious feeling that they are lying. Does anybody know for sure how long it takes to get from AADSAS to the schools? Thanks again.

I would say that schools get the LOR's about 1-2 weeks after the application.

My printout was mailed Aug. 4, and AADSAS already had my LOR's back in June. Then around August 20th or so, a few schools notified me that they had my application, but that my LOR's were missing, which I thought was weird since they were supposed to have been sent with my AADSAS app. I called the schools a week or so later, and Case and Marquette both told me specifically that the LOR's arrived in a seperate batch on Aug. 29.

So your letters are probably not with the rest of your application, but should get there soon thereafter.

from my experience, the aadsas received my letters on aug. 19th and still have not sent them out to dental schools. My application print-outs were mailed before aadsas received my lors. It seems like they never send them. I called today, had to ask the lady to request that they be sent "again" even though they never were sent in the first place. its so frustrating.

I heard that the same guy that recently headed up FEMA was in charge of AADSAS. 🙂

Someone mentioned that the status of your LORs changes with AADSAS after they've been sent out. My printouts were mailed at the beginning of august and their website shows that my LORs were "recieved" on Aug 18, but I've gotten several emails from schools saying please send your LORs your application is not complete. Any advice? would it help at all to call AADSAS or should i just give up and have my schools premed committee send the letters again directly to the schools? Thanks.
