Hi, I was sorting out the list of dental schools I should send my AADSAS application to and it came out to be 19. 🙁

I am a bit concered because I've heard that Dental schools do not like to see an applicant applying to too many schools.(They say it shows the student is uncertain.)

Is it really true?, if so, what is the optimal number of schools I should apply to?

I'm no expert by any means but what I've gleaned from my forum browsings about this topic is this: some AdComs have said that when someone applies to many schools, it shows them that the person is pretty determined to get into dental school...a positive thing. In my opinion, I wouldn't sweat it, 19 schools isn't necessarily a bad idea.

i agree with niza0212. be prepared to tell each school why you want to go to that specific one though! don't tell them you applied to 19 because you didn't care where you went.

Guys thanks for quick responses. I am just gonna apply to 19 schools and hopefully admission people will see it as a positive sign too!
