I'm not sure if this is the correct place for my question but here it goes.

I submitted my AADSAS application on October 14th. The proceeded to send my official transcripts, and asked for my letters of recommendation to be send and printed the forms to go along with them as well. Those were officially sent out on about October 23-24. At the same time, I also applied to a couple post-bac programs, and Ross University School of Medicine and had the respective letters and transcripts be sent out at the same time. The post-bac programs and Ross University have received all the paperwork (specifically, Ross states Nov 1st on their website), yet AADSAS still shows no status on one of my transcripts, and on both of my letters. Yet, it shows date status on two of my transcripts of Nov 1st. I have contacted ADEA to figure out what the delay is and they keep telling me to send them again. I explained to them that I'm on a deadline, and I paid over $500 for this application and that they need to expedite things more properly or keep us in touch. They have not helped at all, and they keep telling me to send the information again. I did as they said, and contacted my evaluator (pre-health advisory committee and a dentist that i shadowed) and they said they send the papers with the attached form. I sent my official transcript again. I am just pissed off that my application has been processed for almost a month and the ADEA has not even sent the applications to the 5 schools that I applied to.

I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem, and what did you do if that was the case? I personally asked the lady on the line to check with the mailing department and she said "that is not my job". She also said that "this is not our problem", and kept repeating to me "have them send it again." over and over.

Thank You

Unfortunately, I think that there isn't much else you can do other than resend, hope for the best, and come back here to vent. They are an organization like any other and will operate however they do; there isn't anything any of us can do to make it better for this cycle. The best any of us can do is apply as early as we are able to (I was late like you) and keep resending documents that are missing (I too had to resend). From their point of view, the process is well documented and it should be common knowledge that doing all paperwork as early as possible will help. A late app is the result of some balance of choices and happenstance. Do the best you can with all the choices you can possibly make and then you will have the best chance at an acceptance. :xf:

Also, FWIW, it can only help you (now and in all of life) to be as nice as possible to people who answer the phone or to anyone who's job it is to help you in some way. 🙂 👍

Thanks a lot.

Yeah, I might have just come here subconsciously to vent. 😡 but I know that nothing is perfect.

I must admit though, I was rather nice to her on the phone, hoping that she would be able to get a hold of the mailing/processing departments and see if my letters were there, but that didn't work either. 😀

I suggest that you express mail all the documents ( I am not sure what that is called in US) . This way, you have a tracking number and they have to sign for it and... you can even do that with your ref letters and ... I know it will cost you little bit more, but this way, you are sure they can not just they lost it or it did not get here.

Best of Luck

Yeah, something similar happened to me. For some reason one of my transcripts didn't reach AADSAS until today. I had requested for the transcript in September, and kept checking over and over to see when AADSAS would tell me they received it. I waited a whole month before requesting another transcript from my institution and was so upset with them that they resent it for free, but now I'm starting to wonder if it was AADSAS who lost my transcript and not my institution. Hmm...
