AADSAS course subject section

hi guys,
hope someone can help me out here! 🙁 *SIGH

so..i took two behavioral stats courses in college, but they were distributed as "social/behavioral analysis" requirements - in other words, these courses did not fulfill any math requirements at my school (i went to a liberal arts college)

but on the AADSAS app, behavioral statistics is categorized as a MATH subject.
does this mean..i have to categorize these two classes as MATH subjects?
the reason why i am so concerned is because doing so will SIGNIFICANTLY lower my current science/math gpa

unfortunately AADSAS and schools are closed for the holidays...and i'm afraid i may have to submit the app on tuesday, earliest. what do you guys recommend i do?

Hi...the best is for the classes to qualify as math classes on the aadsas app......scienec is MUCH more important to dental schools......so hopefully they only bring down your nonscience gpa...the math section on the DAT is basically thrown out the window.....other than that you can do nothing about it and just submit your app......also.....call the schools and introduce your self to the dean and say that "your school is the one I want to go to".....do this for every school...gpa and DAT are only part of it.....remember these admissions people will have to deal with you for 4 years.....so make them know that you are a person that will be good to the patients and will be good to have around..........bye

If AADSAS classifies a course as a math course then you need to list it as such. Don't panic - AADSAS also calculates a BCP gpa which consists only of biology, chemistry and physics courses. The advantage to this is that if your overall science gpa lacks somewhat due to those pesky math grades then schools can glance at your BCP gpa and see that is the case. And for what it's worth I believe that most dental schools don't weigh math courses as heavily as other ones, such as biology. Hang in there and you'll be fine. 👍

I am almost ready to submit my application and will submit probably tomorrow or so. My question is regarding where I put these classes.

I took Anatomy 4xx through Medical School at my school so Can I put it as Biology or should I put it as Other Science and I took Microbiology 3xx through Microbiology Department not Biology Dept. Do I put it as Biology too. If I put these classes in my Bio then my Bio GPA will be over 4.0 becasue I have A+ in Micro and I have rest of them A's and I think it will look good on my app. Currently i have put them under other sciences but not quite sure. Thanks guys.
