AADSAS delay for adding schools

If an AADSAS application is totally complete, processed, and sent to schools, and then additional schools are added, doesn't the application just need to be printed and mailed? I asked AADSAS when my application would be sent to my new designated schools. The response:
"*Extra requests take approximately up to four weeks to process before they are mailed out to the dental schools."
Why would it take so long? Did anybody else go through this?

My original mail out was AUG 4. I added two schools on AUG 15, and they weren't mailed out until SEPT 19. As I called the two schools to check the status, neither actually had my app til early October, and didn't receive my letters of rec until the end of last week. So they certainly drag their feet on additional mail outs, just as they do on the originals. Lame.

Do the deadlines at schools go by when the application is available to them them on-line or when the receive the application from AADSAS?
