I'm not applying this cycle but I am curious what my gpa will be and how the classes are divided into science and non science. I have alot of aviation type science classes that I am not sure what category they will fall.

Can I complete the application forms just to see what my GPA is? Any big deal in doing this other that costing some money and patience?

just calculate it yourself. its not hard. A+=4.333 A=4.00 A-=3.6777 etc..F=0 and so on. there is a thread of which courses fall under science gpa..do a search.

AADSAS doesn't include A+ grades... 🙄

I did calculate it myself already to get the overall GPA, but I am not sure which classes are involved in the science courses. In my case the aviation meteorology, flight physiology, and human factors ( all from aviation dept not science dept). I would guess business math is under science gpa too?

So which GPA (WITH +/-, WITHOUT +/-) is the 'official' dental school GPA?

Yeah, how do you choose? My college counts A+'s as 4.0... but pluses count everywhere else.

The above are all reasons that I hope our gpa's w/o +/- are considered more than with. For Bio1 I had an 89% but that only got me a straight B. There is so much variation across schools that you would think they would have to focus on the w/o +/- gpa.

hahahahhaha 89 gave me a 3.5, take that

What about schools who are on a straight scale A = 4.0, B = 3.0 etc, I went to UT and transcripts only have 4.0 , 3.0 etc for your class, there is no way for you to get a transcript that says the actual grade you made, just that you got an A or B etc. So how would AADSAS factor that?
