Hey SDN,

Quick Question! If I used the grading scale on my transcript it it causes my overall gpa to lose 0.1. However if I use the grading scale table AADSAS provides it gains a 0.1 gpa. When entering my grades which one should I use. If I use the AADSAS, could my application get rejected and would I be delayed?

Please help!!!!

Hey HAAAnh, when you input your coursework from your University's transcript, did you adhere to the grade scale without the "+" and "-" in your course grades?

When I input my coursework grades, I enter the Grade (as is, on my original transcript i.e. "B-") and the AADSAS grade (after converting i.e. "B") is then automatically displayed as a "B"

I think you were supposed to input the original grades. Then, after submitted the app, AADSAS will calculate your original GPA and the AADSAS-converted GPA. Correct me if I'm wrong, anyone.

I hope you're right because this is what I did lol

ADDSAS rules should trump your uni's

AADSAS > anything else

AADSAS is your bible. follow it, cherish it, love it

But this is what the website says on inputting coursework: "Some college transcripts report numeric grades rather than alpha (letter) grades. To access the conversion scale, refer to the key provided by the institution either on the front or back of the transcript. If the transcript does not provide a conversion scale, use the conversion scales below."

Doesn't this imply that you should use your institution's conversion first (if they report numeric grades), and only if they don't report one on the transcript, then use the ADEA conversion scales? Can someone please confirm? I used my school's conversion scale (which bumps my GPA a bit higher than the ADEA method) but if they change it all to the ADEA scales when I submit, I don't want ADCOMS to think I was trying to lie or misrepresent myself.

I mean yeah, the ADEA is saying exactly that.
