So Aadsas just sent out the app to all the schools. Some thing changed in my planned and now ill be taking a course at a community college and that isnt reflected on my application. I only show planned courses at my university.

The reason why its important is cuz the course im taking at community college is the second semester of Ochem. I transfered with one semester and need to complete it....

no need to debate on whether or not i should take the course at a community college or not. i simply dont have the option. anyone know if I should tell AADSAS some how or like if i should contact each school individually? im not sure how to go about it.

any help would be greatly appreciated

I have the same question. Anybody know the answer?

Do schools really even care? I mean, I know they want a rough estimate of what you are going to take, especially making sure you get the pre-reqs done, but I doubt schools will hold you accountable for every class you put in as a planned course.

hmm, well thats what i thought too...like who cares...but i think they might get the impression that im not enrolled in afull years worth of ochem...and thus they would think my prereqs wont be complete. I emailed some of the schools and they said i needed a lab to finish (obviously). right now i only have a semesters worth of both lab/lecture and one quarter of lecture only. I dont have that second part of ochem lab anywhere in my planned course work (based on the application they will get)

that sounded kinda confusing, sorry people...i think it basically comes down to how to update it...if anything ill make 15 phone calls come tuesday, blahh

anyone else?

i delayed sending my application until i knew exactly where i was taking my planned courses, and what courses i would be taking. for those of you that have allready submitted your app, i know that's not what you want to hear, but for those of you still getting ready to submit your apps, keep that in mind! for the OP, i would contact aadsas, if you recently submited you app, i don't see that much of a delay, but if you submitted your app a week or two ago, then it's going to be a week or two delay. i think there is an update form available in jan sometime, i would find out if you could wait until then to correct your course work info, and maybe save a lot of time; my bet is that there is an opportunity in jan window! Best of luck, hope you find a solution to your dilema!

I really don't think they care that much about courses you will take unless you haven't finished the pre reqs.

thanks three...my application was already sent to schools though..."printout mailed" yada yada, so, the schools will already see it. aadsLOW would take forever if i sent an "addition" to my app or somethign wierd like that. So i was thinking maybe i should just wait for the schools to receive my app and then call them/inform them, since it will be affecting one of my pre-reqs (ochem).

thanks though...hrmm

Hi.. I'm a little lost but are you saying that its imporant to fill out EXACTLY what you ARE going to taking for the remainder of your undergraduate degree on the PLANNED SESSION part of the Coursework in the application? but what if I decide to drop a class or add a new one later on? how can that ever be a definite? or do they only care about prereqs for dental school and see that you'll graduate accordingly..?!

Any modifications you need to make to your application can and do need to be done with the correction form AADSAS will send to you. Everyone receives a copy in the mail and enclosed are directions on how to submit the corrections. It will take AADSAS as long, if not a bit longer, to make the corrections as it did to send out your application in the first place. If you just need to change some future courses you have listed on your application that is actually really minor and won't hold your file up with any schools. You can make the changes once you receive the form from AADSAS or you can probably just give the schools a heads up later on in the cycle.

that means..you have to indicate what classes you plan to take in the future?? do you have to?

So, if I just realized that I needed to add an extra humanities class, would that be important to add to my AADSAS? I already e-submitted it, but they haven't calculated my GPA yet. I'm not sure if it'll slow down when it's sent out.
