What would be the "safest" set of LOR's?
- having two science professors, one non-science professor, and one dentist or
- having three science professors and dentist?

I'm guessing that three science professor would be the better choice, but after thinking about it, couldn't a LOR from a non-science professor possibly give the adcoms a different perspective of me, and show them that I am highly capable in another academic field besides the sciences...? I may be wrong, so I'd love to hear everyone's opinions about this.

Also, once I give AADSAS the emails of the ones who will write my LOR's and e-submit my application, I won't be able to add/remove the emails at a later time, correct?

I think it ultimately depends on which schools you end up applying to. A few of my schools required LORs from 3 science professors, so I opted to request 3 professors and 1 dentist. The majority of schools, though, only require LORs from 2 science professors. Some schools allow you to send them LORs directly to their Admissions Office. In that case, you can go with option #1, and for schools that require more than 2, you can find out if you can submit them separately.

If you feel like the non-science professor knows your personality more thoroughly than a 3rd science professor, I say go for it. I'd just decide based on whichever professor knows you the best.

Once you log in the recommender's information, they immediately get an email notification. However, I was under the impression that the applicant has the option to remove/add recommenders as needed (max 4). I've seen posts on SDN involving recommenders who went MIA, so students had to find someone else.

Thank you all for your very helpful responses! I'm bumping this thread to hear more about what other people think.

In addition, so we CAN add/remove my recommenders' emails even after hitting e-submit?? I know that we can't edit our list of EC's, so I just assumed that we can't edit our recommenders' emails either.... thanks for this information
