i'm pretty sure they are shot. its january and some deadlines for schools have already passed. plus the NEW cycle will open up in about 4.5 months. of course some crazy thing could happen but the odds are not in your favor. not to be lecture someone while they are bummed out, but you should have been on top of your applications and been checking AADSAS. there is a section on there that tells you when your LORs have been recieved. if you applied in july and haven't heard anything until january, a more proactive student would have been calling SOMEONE to find out what was going on. or you could have called the schools you applied to and asked what was the progress of your application. someone would have told you that your file was incomplete.

i just recieved 2 more interviews so schools are still sending out invites and even acceptances, but by the time AADSAS gets off their lazy butts and mails out that letter, it would have been weeks, and been queued at the end of the schools "to be reviewed" lists.

sorry, but seems like something like this happens to someone every year. you live and you learn. i'm sure you will have a flawless process next cycle which will put u that much more ahead of all the other applicants.

hmmmmmm, wow.......🙁

So if anyone has any suggestions on what I can do to make the best of things, Id really appreciate it!

Call the schools first thing tomorrow morning!

Briefly explain your situation, and go from there. They will tell you exactly what needs to be done.

Although I don't understand how you never checked AADSAS (as many people here check it as frequently as these boards), I did hear of a few schools out there that were handing out interviews without LORs which helped contribute to your problem.

Good luck

Wow. that sucks. Definitely call the schools.

Crazy things can happen during the application cycle and every applicant should be on their toes and make sure their status is up to date at every school. Didn't you notice after a couple months, that AADSAS hadn't received anything? When you said schools contacted you about interviews, have you scheduled a date yet? If so, there may still be hope. I hadn't turned in my dental LOR and a couple of schools interviewed me on condition that they get it ASAP (I had told them it was already in the mail before the interview date). I'd definitely be making some phone calls tomorrow Monday morning. Good luck. Let us know how it goes. :luck:
