So I recently started playing an instrument native to India/Pakistan that most people have never heard of (tumbi). I put it down under my manual dexterity, however I'm not an expert at all. Does that matter at all? Like I think I could answer any questions about the instrument or about playing it.

I LOVE how people all of the sudden start playing instruments, painting, or working on other crafts once application time comes around. 
imo, i would say something like you recently took up playing it. but of course they have no way of knowing, and it wouldn't be lying to just say you play it. in my interview, i was asked briefly whether i was actually any good at playing the viola.
