Hey. Does anyone know what is the first day that we can submit our AADSAS application? Is it the first day in "mid-May" as the AADSAS site says? Or is it June 1st? Please do let me know since May 15th is coming up pretty soon. Thanks all.

here is the email i got:

This is to inform you that the AADSAS 2007 application cycle will launch on Monday, May 15. Effective May 15, 2006, you will no longer be able to view your AADSAS 2006 application.

AADSAS does not carry application information forward from one application cycle to the next. Re-applicants for 2007 must create a new account on or after May 15 and enter all application information into the 2007 application. If you have not done so already, you may want to print a copy of your 2006 application and have it available when you complete the 2007 application.

For you experienced (and admitted) applicants, would you recommend submitting on the first day? Is there going to be computer crash during the first week due to overwhelming amounts of applicants submitting their application? This is what someone who applied 3 years ago told me (the aadsas server may have improved compared to back then). Additionally, did you guys attached the evaluator matching form to the outside of the prof's envelope or did the professors actually have to stick it inside with the letters they wrote?

i doubt many people will be submitting on the first day. it takes some time to fill it out.

plus it's better to get in done a week or two later to make sure there are no mistakes and the personal statement is great.

the point is to submit it early. in may, june, july... and not to waint till december.

Is there a way to just follow a certain thread? Is there a way to know if someone has answered your thread/responce? Or are you just constantly checking all the threads on here and answering all these questions? I've been here since Feb, but I'm not sure how to use all the features yet. Please do give some insight if you know any specific tricks.

i believe you can subscribe to a thread so that any updates on the thread will be sent via email.

Quick kinda on topic question:
if i decided to submit my application on june 1st, when should i take the DAT (i was thinking june 30?) and when should I expect the premed advisors to send out my cover letter?

also, if i wanted to send out an extra LOR from a dentist, when should that be sent out so that it all arrives at the same time?

Personally, I'm collecting all the letters and sending them in myself in one whole package. I'm submitting my app maybe May 17-20th..., but won't be taking the DAT until late July. Is that date too late? Oh well, I can't make it any sooner due to Kaplan course.
