AADSAS Personal Statement Character Limit

Hey all,

So I know the character limit for AADSAS personal statements is 4500 characters including spaces. However, when I uploaded my 6000 character personal statement into the AADSAS website, the entire thing still fit with no problem. So basically now, I'm wondering if this 4500 limit is actually a hard limit or more of a rough guideline. In other words, is it okay to exceed this limit by a little? Thanks in advance.

Not it's not ok. It will paste into the box, but when the schools print it off it will cut your essay off at 4500, and they will know you didn't follow the directions, not to mention being unable to read your conclusion! Just condense it to 4500 characters or under. Good luck!
