Hello everyone. I have a fairly simple questions (it may even be a stupid question) about the aadsas application. I've tried searching other threads for an answer, but no luck. When filling in the section of the application devoted to courses, do I use the same number for first and second part of the course? For example, do I use the number 4008 for both Organic I and Organic II?

Thank ya'll so much for you help and advice. I'm taking the DAT in 13 days and I hope to have my application completed by that same time. Ya'll are a great help to this entire process... it's much appreciated.

Your school doesn't have two differnt course codes for I and II?

Yes, you can use the same AADSAS course code number for Orgo I and II (or any courses that fit into the course code). However, to differentiate between the two courses, under the Transcript Code you should enter in their respective course code issued by the school (and these should be different).

You should be aware that if you took the Orgo WITH Lab then you should use the code '4034'. '4004' is for orgo WITHOUT lab. There are generally one code with lab and one code without lab so make sure you choose the correct one because the GPA calculation will be different depending on which one you choose.

hey, the way i did it, is i used the same number (4008 i think) for both , but the numbers were different. at my school orgo I is 2210 and orgo II is 2211, so i put the same course for them just different numbers. and on AADSAS u can only use 3 digits, so i put 210 and 211. hope this helps.

So, would I put in, for example, "CHM2210" or just "2210"??

You can only put 6 characters, so "CHM2210" would be "CHM221"

So, In theory, Orgo I and Orgo II will look like the same course on the application, because they will both say "CHM221", correct?

no, u can only use 6 characters, but u have to make the two classes look different. the way i did it is put chm210 or orgo I and chm211 for orgo II. i talked to aadsas, and they said as long as they can look back at your transcript and follow what your doing, its fine. i really dont see the point of this when they got ur transcript too??!! ha guess they just wanna see u work. good luck

Excellent. Thanks man. Seemingly, AADSAS should just let us enter in another character, but that'd be too easy... sigh.

I have a question that until now I still can't figure out. What is the Transcript Code? Is this the same as Course Code? like general physics I is 95-103, if so, why it has to be 6 characters 3 letters and 3 numbers? I am in the process of entering my foreign coursework and I could not seem to find the Transcript Code, it doesn't even have a Course Code. So I just make up something temporary like CRS100 (whatever that means) to all of my foreign courses. Im pretty sure I did it wrong, I just want to finished entering all the courses and come back later.
