Hello party people, I'm applying for 2006 enrollment. I understand I send my transcript, personal statement, and committee letter of recommendation to AADSAS along with the application itself (i plan on doing that as close to mid-may as possible). I've heard the AADSAS horry stories - losing letters, taking forever to process applications etc. - so i'm wondering what I should send directly the the schools to expedite the process (other than DAT scores, that is). For example, can my letters of rec. or anything else be sent directly to schools, AND also included with AADSAS - or is that redundant and pointless?

I guess my question is, if you could do the application process over again, would you change anything, or try to bypass AADSAS as much as humanly possible? I want to be in the first batch of applications, and I dont want to encounter the snags and delays that AADSAS tends to have.

Any thoughts are greatly appreciated.

I sent all letters straight to the schools using our pre-professional office.

Other than that I just sent AADSAS my transcripts and the DAT scores to the schools.

I did the exact same thing. OP: If your school has a pre health profession office that is willing to send out your LORs to the d-schools, use them. This way you assure yourself that you won't have to deal with any AADSAS mishaps--though I never experienced any issue with them.
