O.K. so after going through some of the posts on this forum i saw that it is probably best to turn in the aadsas application with your DAT already taken...however on some of the websites of different schools---they advise to turn in the application regardless of taking the DAT...they say to turn it in as early as possible....What to do??? i'm planning to take the dat june 20th ish and then turn in the app...or should i just do it now and then turn in my dat score????

turn in your application ASAP - doesn't matter if you've taken DAT or not

you want your application sent out and on file ready to be viewed when you take you DAT

AADSAS takes longer to process than DAT - so when you take the DAT in June - Your AADSAS may have just finished being processed - PERFECT TIMING!

the other thing now.....what if i do soooo bad on the DAT??? what happens then??? also i was basing the schools i was going to apply to on my dat score ....lol...i'm so lost now

3.2 science gpa
3.5 overall gpa
50+hrs shadowing dentist
1 semester research @ univ illinois @chicago dental school microbio lab
practice dat through kaplan----18AA 19PAT


and another thing....what can i expect my scores to be like based on my kaplan scores...or is that just a bad question lol

From what I've heard, raise your score by about 2 points from the Kaplan Test, and subtract 1 point from the PAT - and there you have it.

As far as you doing 'soooooo bad on the DAT' - don't sweat it! If you study, are motivated, and put in the hours each day - you will do fine! Your science GPA shows you are capable! Think POSITIVE!

Reach for the moon, and if you miss - you'll be among the stars!

No Problem - Put In Those Hours (PITH) - and you should see those 20's light up!!!
