Sorry if this is in a wrong thread, I'm new to this website and did not find answers to my questions anywhere 🙁

I am planning to take my DAT in late July. Is my application available for schools to see if I have everything but my DAT finished by June 07th?

Am I taking my DAT too late? I don't want to get in a late "batch."

When is each "batch" roughly complete? (By a certain date?)

**also, how do you submit transcripts? Do I mail them from my university, or upload them online?

You aren't taking the DAT too late. When you apply on AADSAS under the DAT section you can select the anticipated date for your test and once you take it your scores will be sent automatically to the schools you are applying to. The batches start like mid june i think then a new batch starts every week...i think friday is the last day then a new batch starts. But as long as you apply no later than july you are still considered an early applicant. As far as submitting transcripts, there is an address on the AADSAS website so you can have your schools registrars office send them directly to AADSAS you DON'T send them directly to the schools. Most university's websites for the registrars office has a link to send official transcripts and you can type in the AADSAS address and your school will take care of the rest and notify you once they are sent.

Am I putting myself at a disadvantage by taking it that late? Will schools still look at my app?

No you aren't...obviously the ideal situation is to have everything done when you apply but if everything on your application is strong its not a big deal. I took mine at the end of july and there are plenty of ppl who took theirs even later and got in with no problem. The school will receive your app without the DAT but I don't think they look at it until they have everything...i could be wrong on that though

I had same concern before about taking DAT late. Mine is scheduled on beginning of August. ppls here told me that I shouldn't worry too much about it, make sure you do well and take your time rather than rush it and redo it again.

Nope, they don't review your application until everything is together.

OP, if you are concerned about the date when your official scores will be submitted (2 weeks after the testing date), you could call the schools you're applying to and ask if they will look at your unofficial score.

Oh, and make sure you fax the transcript matching form to your school's registrars office (let them know, of course) before having them mail the transcripts. You can get the form once the application opens up.
