Are you proficient in any activities requiring manual dexterity?

I don't have any real activites in which I have excess proficiency. Do you guys think it is okay to leave it blank?

For the question asking "Has your education ever been interrupted or affected adversely because of deficiencies in conduct or academic performance?" I don't know how to handle it. I did "fail" out of collge right after high school, but since then I have proven myself academically. I covered this in my essay and i know my recommendors also covered it. I was just going to write, "See Essay." Do you think this is okay? Should I leave it blank and say "No?"

Never try to leave any thing blank (unless if you really don't have anything to put). This manual dexterity is an important question that they always asked as this is a skill that is very important in dentistry, therefore, you should not leave this question blank. Here are some examples: building model cars and ships, sewing, piano, research/dissection, etc....

About academic performance, DON't put 'See essay' because this is very impersonal and make the adcom think you don't have the time to summarize the situation. You should give a small paragraph summarizing your condition and what you did to change it, even if you know it has been included in other areas.

I completetly agree with everything!!

Think of your essays as a way to express information and create a picture of a real human being to AdComs. The more you write the better picture you create. I am sure that in your life you have some example of manual dexterity that you just might not think of off the top of your head. Have you ever played and instrument? Taken any art classes? Built model trains/planes/rockets? I'm sure you have some example. Don't skip it. Good luck,
Jessica

I left mine blank because I didn't have any skills that require manual dexterity. During Case interview, one interviewer asked why I left it blank. He wrote for me on my application - typing, playing game, writing, using chopsticks, fishing and few more obvious skills such as driving car with stick ... on that section.

OR you can also put baking cookies, it also improve manual dexterity. Im sure there are a lot of things requires manual dexteity like sewing, crocheting, quilting and etc.

i put chinese calligraphy.....but i'm scared that they might ask me to prove it.

Leaving this section blank, is pretty much telling the adcoms that you cant tie your own shoelaces. Think of something.

I put downt that I have been building models, cook, and play video games. Video games may not be the most ADSAS-PC thing to put down, but it does require a lot of hand-eye coordination (ie-Halo).

***I didn't mention halo specifically***
